DOES YOUR CAT REALLY DRINK ENOUGH WATER TO STAY PROPERLY HYDRATED?

A New Scientific Study May Surprise You!

Your cat's body weight is approximately 60% water, making water the most important nutrient our cats need.  The problem is cats are notoriously bad water drinkers.  There are a variety of reasons from simple genetics to the fact that cats have a low thirst drive.  They can survive on less water compared to dogs, but this is not a good thing.  Cats are very susceptible to dehydration.  And get this - did you know that when your cat takes a lap of water they are only getting 3/100 of a teaspoon?  Their tongues are not designed to take in large amounts of liquid.

Purina Pro Plan Veterinary believes they have found the answer for cats that don't consume enough water which can lead to urinary and kidney problems.  Purina Hydra Care is a liver flavored liquid supplement that contains osmolytes that aid in the absorption of water to hydrate your cat at the cellular level.  It is thicker than water so their tongues can lap up more.  Purina studies showed that cats consumed 28% more  liquid with Hydra Care.

Cats that eat canned food do get some extra hydration, but this isn't always enough.  Some won't eat wet food, or it may not be practical in certain situations.  Hydra Care is easy to feed.  Just add an extra bowl of this yummy liquid to improve your cat's health.
